After leaving grenoside the walkers first works was established at masborough,at the top of masborough street.In 2010 there is one small part of the vast walker works that sat on the site.It is now a scrap metal dealers,just another building surrounded by other buildings from where buisness are run from,all modern and prefabricated.
This last remnant of the walkers empire must be listed to stop it getting knocked down and swept away.A lot of work finding out just what this building was used for.
